Local Transport Connections

When staying in Cambridge, you will be pleased to know just how it is to travel both to the city and around the city.

To get to Cambridge, you can fly directly into London Stansted Airport, and take the M11 which is only 40 minutes directly into the city centre.

If you are coming directly from London, you can also get the train directly to Cambridge from Kings Cross station.

When travelling in and around Cambridge, there are many options available to you.

For ease and convenience, Uber does operate within Cambridge city centre, which may help as parking can often be difficult and expensive.

If you do wish to drive to Cambridge and use this as your mode of transport during your stay, many of our apartments have a dedicated parking space.

However, if you’re in no rush to be anywhere, we highly recommend you make like the locals and hire a bike to take in as much of the sights Cambridge has to offer.

As Cambridge is fast becoming the epicentre of business in the region, there are now a number of established and modern business centres and facilities that can accommodate your business requirements.

The Allia Future Business Centre is one space where you can hire a meeting room or a desk for a short-term period. This vibrant space is also equipped with an onsite cafe where you can purchase lunch or just a coffee.

Mantle Business Group also has a number of serviced spaces available across Cambridge, offering meeting rooms, office spaces and an onsite cafe. The Mantle spaces are spread out across Cambridge, which means you can find a space that suits both yourself and your clients.

The beauty of staying in one of our Signet luxury apartments is that you are not far from Cambridge Science Park, the business hub of Cambridge.

Staying for Pleasure

As we mentioned earlier, you simply have to take advantage of your business travel to Cambridge and extend your trip by an extra few days to enjoy everything there is to see, do and eat in the historical city.

Even if you can extend your trip by an extra two or three days, we can guarantee you it will be well worth it.

With so much on the doorstep of our Signet Apartments, you don’t have to travel far to begin your adventure.

Fine dining being served in Cambridge restaurant

Cambridge has an astonishing array of restaurants that have become ‘must-visits’ for many foodies around the world.

No matter the cuisine that takes your fancy, there will be an independent restaurant just ready and waiting to take you on a flavour experience, from independent Italian Restaurants, exquisite traditional British pub grub, to authentic African tagines. You can find it all in Cambridge.

Taking COVID-19 restrictions into consideration, some restaurants may be temporarily closed during your stay; but most of them have now created delivery or takeaway options, so you can still enjoy a fantastic meal in the comfort of your luxury apartment.

Should the restrictions be lifted, we would highly recommend grabbing a cocktail on the rooftop bar at The Varsity Cambridge. It will be a moment to remember.

A punt going down the River Cam with a group of tourists

Cambridge has been the backdrop to many films as it’s historic architecture inspires and ignites the imagination. It was featured in such films as Harry Potter, The King’s Speech, The Theory of Everything, and many more.

If you can’t secure yourself a punt along the River Cam, we highly recommend putting on some comfortable shoes and walking around the city centre to take in the many stunning sights. After all, there’s a reason Cambridge has become one of the most Instagram-worthy cities.

Should you secure great weather during your stay, a picnic along the river banks will also delight the senses.
